This is one of the BEST salads I have ever tasted! Wherever we go, it always becomes a favorite for everyone who tries it.
This is a recipe I grew up with. It’s something my mom, Colleen Mott used to make. The combination of the four ingredients; broccoli, grapes, onion and cashews is INCREDIBLE. And then the DRESSING! It brings it all together.
Cut up some nice, fresh broccoli and add in your diced onions. It is a major debate at our house as to how many onions should go in. My husband likes a TON. I like a LOT. Some of our kids like NONE. So, do what you will.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Ingredients
- 8 cups fresh broccoli
- 4 cups red, seedless grapes
- 1 cup cashews, unsalted
- ½ cup red onion
Dressing
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 2½ Tablespoons honey or white sugar
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Cut broccoli into bite-size pieces.
- Peel and dice onion.
- Rinse grapes and cut in half.
- Mix together in large bowl and stir in cashews.
- Mix together dressing ingredients, salt and pepper to taste and mix into salad.
