This creamy version of pumpkin pie was a wonderful discovery I made when my kids were little. They LOVED IT. The pudding filling is so delicious…we sometimes bake tart shells to fill and have beautiful little pumpkin tarts.

Pumpkin pie seems to be a NECESSITY for Thanksgiving. But not everyone likes the old-fashioned baked custard. So here is a great alternative! Make sure and use a nice, crispy crust. Absolutely delicious!

Start by whisking together the milk and pudding. Then add in the pumpkin and pie spice.

Now just stir in the Cool Whip!

Sooo creamy and delicious!

Pour it all into the baked pie shell.

Top with more Cool Whip and sprinkle with pie spice and you have a beautiful pie!

  • Whisk together the milk and pudding.
  • Add pumpkin and pie spice. Mix well.
  • Stir in thawed Cool Whip. Pour into baked pie shell.
  • Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • When ready to serve, top with Cool whip and a sprinkle of pie spice.
