Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Brie
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • ⅓-½ cup pepper jelly of your choice
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Open the Brie and use a sharp knife to cut off as much of the brine as you desire. NOTE: if you choose to leave the brine on, use the knife to cut a criss-cross pattern on the top.
  • Roll out your thawed puff pastry to make it smooth. NOTE: It's best when still chilled to the touch and not completely thawed.
You may need to pinch the seems of the dough together.
  • Cut off the four corners, making 8 corners.
  • Place the Brie in the middle of the puff pastry.
  • Spread the jam on top of the Brie.
  • Make and egg wash by whisking the egg with 1 teaspoon of cold water.
Brush around the edges of the puff pastry.
  • Gently pull up each corner to the center of the Brie, pinching together in the center. Brush all over with egg wash. Use the cut off corners to create a decoration in the center, standing them up as triangles, pinching and twisting them in the center. Brush with egg wash.
  • Spray baking dish with baking spray. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with crackers and fruit.
