Goulash

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1½-2 pounds ground turkey ***can use beef, chicken or lamb
  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 15 oz petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 tsp seasoning salt
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven. Add ground turkey. Break up with spoon and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add chopped onion and green pepper. Saute over medium-high heat until veggies are softened and meat is no longer pink, 3-4 minutes.
    Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Add in tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings.
    Stir in uncooked elbow macaroni. Turn to high and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Remove lid and stir in the cheese. Serve with crusty bread.
