Korean Noodles

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounce linguine noodles **or rice noodles
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil, divided
  • ½ head medium cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pound steak, boneless
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • ¼ bunch cilantro, roughly chopped

Bibimbap Sauce

  • 2-3 Tbsp Gochujang paste
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • Tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse.
  • Heat 1½ Tbsp sesame oil in large skillet.
  • Add cabbage and red pepper. Cook and stir for a couple of minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and green onions. Continue to cook and stir until cabbage is cooked to tender crisp. Set aside.
  • Thinly slice steak and cut into bitesize pieces.
  • In another skillet heat 1½ Tbsp sesame oil.
  • When hot, add the steak pieces. Spread evenly and allow to cook without stirring for 2 minutes. Stir and cook until meat is browned. Remove from heat.
  • Make sauce by placing all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Set aside.
  • Return the skillet of vegetables to heat and add in the steak pieces, noodles, cilantro and sauce. Mix with tongs and heat through.
  • Sprinkle with cilantro and sesame seeds to serve.
