Washington Nut Pie

A Pacific Northwest version of Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 8-9 inch single pie crust
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup melted butter cooled
  • 1 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • In medium bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, butter, Karo syrup, vanilla and salt.
  • Fold in chopped walnuts.
  • Pour into prepared pie crust.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Let cool 60 minutes before serving.
