Our family traditionally makes Chinese food on New Year’s Eve every year and this fried rice is KEY! It is soooo delicious. I like to make it on it’s own sometimes and eat as an entree. I like it with brown mustard mixed in. Absolutely delicious.
If you don’t have a wok it is worth buying one.
BUT you can use a large skillet.
Start with sliced green onions and garlic…stir fry in the hot oil.
Add the chilled rice and stir fry for 7-8 minutes. This is what creates all the flavor!
Add in all the ham and bacon and stir fry a little longer.
Stir in the soy sauce…
…whisk up the eggs, pour in and allow to set for a bit. Stir into the rice and continue cooking.
Add soy sauce to taste and top with bean sprouts and additional bacon bits.
YUM YUM YUM!
